About

The story behind Piano Spark!

Sandy Lynch, author of Piano Spark, has been captivated with the piano since the age of 4. She reads and writes music and plays many songs by memory.

While teaching her own students, she has realised a demand for the modern ‘sound’ of music in an easy-to-follow method.

‘Today’s students are exposed to a multitude of music and ‘cool’ sounds online.  Enter youtube. Youtube is a great tool for learning popular songs, but students struggle to understand the notes they’re playing and the concept of what they’re playing.

There is a definite need for a fully modernised piano method, featuring styles and sounds these young players are familiar with.

Including a blend of traditional and modern pieces, the new Piano Spark method is an exciting, fun approach which piano students already love!’
